Wooden Stair Treads and Custom Sizes

Stair treads come in different lengths and widths to match your design. Eleven-and-a-half-inch treads are usually used when steps are enclosed between walls, while thirteen-inch treads are preferred for open sides because the extra width creates a finished edge. Thirteen-inch treads are stronger than miter-return treads, and we are one of the few suppliers to offer them. Twenty-four- and thirty-inch widths work best for curved stairs and can be cut into pie-shaped treads.
