This stair riser faces the vertical rise between two treads, giving each step a clean hardwood front that takes stain or finish to match your treads and flooring. The same board also works for a landing or a stair cap, so one material carries across the staircase for a consistent, finished look. Because it arrives ready to finish, you control the final color and sheen, staining it to match your flooring or sealing it naturally to show the grain.
