Real white oak stair treads are made up of different solid wood panels. Because this is a genuine hardwood product, there can be natural color variations on each tread, which is standard for any real wood item. 

Both red and white oak show a range of tones in their unfinished state. These variations are normal and are part of the natural character and authenticity of solid wood stair treads.
